Special wards for dengue, swine flu soon at Capital Hospital

Bhubaneswar: Special wards for dengue and swine flu will soon be opened in Capital Hospital here.

According to Director, Capital Hospital, Dr Biswa Bhusan Pattnaik, it has also been decided to reserve some beds at the new born ward for patients suffering from dengue. “Since the swine flu cases are increasing in the capital and its nearby region the hospital authorities have also decided to open separate out patients’ door ‘(OPD) in two to three days”, Dr Pattnaik said.

A doctor in the rank of assistant surgeon would be in charge of the five bed-separate OPD. Similarly four beds would be reserved for children at the new born ward, he added.

According to hospital authorities, the hospital is strictly following the protocol led down by the Government to treat dengue and swine flu patients.
