Mass protest rally by Odisha Teachers’ Association

Bhubaneswar, Sept 24: Demanding fulfillment of 11-point charter of demands including withdrawal of Block Grant and full grant to eligible schools, around 17 Odisha Teachers’ Association hit the road and held a mass protest rally on Saturday, at lower PMG in capital city.

In this education system, around 30,000 teacher and 20,000 lecturers have suffered since 30 years. The Chief Minster will pay a high cost for this Panchayat election if  the demands are not taken seriously by the government, informed Odisha Teacher Association’ Joint Secretary.

Besides, demanding fulfillment of nine-point charter of demand, an agitation is being held by the Block grant teachers since past three days.
