Increase in rainfall from Oct 6

Bhubaneswar, Oct 1: Rainfall has occurred at many places over Odisha with heavy rainfall at one or two places over South Interior Odisha. Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours rainfall of 1.9mm along with thundershowers thus having a maximum and minimum temperature of 31 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively on Sunday having a cloudy atmosphere all around.

The relative humidity will be 100 percent at its maximum and 84 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT Sub-Division.

On Sunday and Friday, North Odisha will get very heavy rainfall with a few in the South of the state at the start of the October month. On the basis of weather report submitted by the MeT officials, there will be an increase in rainfall from Oct 6 to Oct 8.

The highest maximum temperature of 34.2oC was recorded at Gopalpur and Sonepur the lowest minimum temperature of 21.5oC was recorded at Bhawanipatna in the plains of Odisha
