Bhubaneswar: October 04: Paralakhemundi MLA K Surya Rao, former BJD Gajapati district president Basant Das and Manoranjan Badaghar appeared before the Odisha Crime Branch here today. Crime Branch had served notices to nine persons in connection with the mysterious deaths of Parala Maharaja’s former manager Anang Manjari Patra and her three siblings. Earlier, Paralakhemundi Municipality Councillor Bibhuti Nayak and another Congress leader Sudhi Ranjan Mahapatra had appeared before the Crime Branch.
Notably, on August 21, body of Ananga, Bijaylaxmi and Sanjay Patra were recovered from their residence at Paralakhemundi. Another brother, Santosh, was rescued in critical condition and further he died at hospital. Police recovered three suicide notes from the residence wherein names of 11 persons were mentioned.
