CHSE to not conduct Plus II first year Exams in 2016 due to limited time span

Bhubaneswar, Oct 6: The plus Two first year examination of this academic season in the state will not be conducted, informed the council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE). The decision on this had been taken after a meeting was held by the Chief Secretary, Aditya Prasad Padhi at the State Secretariat with Debi Prasad Mishra, School and Mass education Minister and Pradeep Panigrahi, Higher Education Minister.

Due to shortage of time, the examination will not be carried this year, Mishra told. The colleges will conduct the first year exams as usual, he further added.  Next year, after broader consultation, modalities would be prepared.

It may be noted that, earlier, a report in support of holding exam had been submitted by the CHSE to the School and Mass Education Department. OMR format to be used in exam and for this a road map was prepared.
