Bhubaneswar, Oct 7: To take stock of the situation in Malakngiri where death are just increasing day by day due to the deadly Japanese Encephalitis, a team of six of the BJP Odisha unit led by State general secretary, Bhrugu Baxipatra with members MLA Radharani Panda, former Minister Pradipta Nayak and Shiva Shankar Ulakaare have visited the affected villages today. It’s stated that the team would note the causes which has led to the spread of the disease and the prevention steps which are initiated by the State Govt to stop the epidemic. Later it would prepare a detailed report on its findings and would submit it to both the State and Central Governments.
At a Press Meet held here on Wednesday, Baxipatra questioned that while the Centre is ready to extend all kind of assistance and cooperation then why the Odisha Government has not taken any help from the former till yet. He further said that the pigs have not been isolated from the human habitation yet while mosquito nets are yet to reach near people in all the villages as per the announcement made by the Government.
