Umerkote, Oct 9: As a unique way of protest, people of Sunabeda Panchayatm, Nabarangpur were seen planting paddy saplings on a muddy road. As per the information, the villagers had been demanding about the repair of Jharigaon-Umerkote road which turned into a death trap. But till now no steps have been carried out yet.
As the road has become non-accessible, people have been using an alternative route which is longer than the original route. During the monsoon season the road turns into death path due to the monsoon season resulting in a number of accidents. Planting the paddy saplings will draw the district administration attention, one villager said.
