Balasore, Oct 15: Violence caused during Durga idol immersion led the district administration to impose section 144 CrPC between Bhujakhia square to IOCL for an uncertain period in the Balasore district on Friday.
As per the information, six persons have been detained for their suspected involvement in the violence.
Based on the issue, three cases have been filed at the Town Police station and two cases at Chandipur Police station.
As per the information from a police official, the decision whether to continue the curfew or not will be taken after taking stock of the situation on October 20.
Notably, during Durga idol immersion on October 12, Patrapada and Gabagaon locals clashed against each other following which four locals of Patrapada and one of Gabagaon sustained injuries.
