Berhumpur, Oct 15: On charges of gambling, 30 persons have been arrested by the police on Friday during raids in Berhampur city in Odisha.
As per reports, during the raids at the two gambling dens in Sriram nagar and Kalupatra Sahi of the city, around 30 persons have been arrested by the police, of which 6 persons were arrested from Sriram nagar and 24 were arrested from Kalupatra Sahi. During the raids, the police seized Rs 6 lakh in cash from Sriram nagar and Rs 4 lakh from Kalupatra Sahi.
30 mobile phones and many playing cards have also been seized by the police from both the areas.
