Two bike robbers arrested by police in the capital city

Bhubaneswar, Oct 17: Two highway robbers identified as Mohd Asif and Firoze Saha hailing from Khajuriapada in Khurda district, have been arrested by the Nayapalli police today near a motorcycle showroom at Jayadev Vihar in the capital city.

As per sources, police had received a complaint few months back that robbers had looted a KTM bike at gunpoint.

The police had provided the chassis number of the looted bike to the KTM showroom authorities at Jayadev Vihar to inform them if the bike landed at their place for some reason as this is the only showroom for KTM bike in Odisha.

The robbers landed with the looted bike at the showroom to get the bike repaired today. On finding the chassis number same as that of the looted bike, the showroom authorities informed the police following which the police nabbed the two robbers even though the two tried hard to run away from the spot.

Three mousers have also been seized by the police from their possession.
