Bhubaneswar, Oct 19: As a case has been filed against the management of Sum Hospital, the owner of the hospital Manoj Nayak is likely to be arrested for negligence and violation of fire safety norms at the hospital. This was informed by Directorate of Medical Education & Training (DMET) Odisha, Prakash Chandra Mohapatra on Wednesday.
Prakash further informed that the case was filed on the basis of carelessness during evacuation of patients at the time of the fire mishap. However, the matter is being investigated and after completion of the probe, all the facts will be out.
It may be noted that the Commissionerate police on Tuesday arrested Sum Hospital superintendent Pusparaj Samantasinghar, and also arrested three other officials of the hospital on Wednesday based on an FIR filed by Fire Services Department.
