Bhubaneswar: November 30: All Odisha Private Medical Establishment Forum (AOPMEF) announced to close down all private medical colleges in the state on November 1. In a press briefing today, Forum said, after repeated reminders to the state government regarding the delay in registration and renewal of clinical establishment licence, nothing is happening. Also, the forum demanded amendment in the Fire Safety Act with immediate effect. They further said, state government should invite all employees of the private medical colleges to discuss different issues. Forum informed, they will observe a one-day token strike wearing black badges on November 1, but heath care of the patients admitted to the private hospitals and emergency services will not be affected.
