Bhubaneswar, Nov 9: On Tuesday the body of late senior Congress leader Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra was delivered to flames. The last rites were performed at his ancestral village in Gada Rodanga in Puri. Various party leaders and his followers from different villagers as well had attended the funeral ceremony. Cries of ‘Lulu bhai amar rahe’ (Long live Lulu Bhai) filled the air before the funeral pyre was lit.
Earlier in the day as the vehicle carrying Lulu’s body was moving towards his native village to perform the funeral ceremony, thousands of his supporters were seen standing on both sides of the road and they paid homage to the departed soul.
