Bhubaneswar, Nov 18: On Thursday in support of Modi’s demonetization move, Kendrapada BJD MP, Baijayant Panda expressed his concern for the rural people saying that one also needs to be sensitive towards the difficulties faced by the people in the rural sectors where there are no banks and so the people are not able to exchange their notes.
This ban on old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes has come out with both positive and negative aspects. But it must also be appreciated that right from the day of announcement, the Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik is constantly monitoring the situation in the remote places. Steps have been taken for assuring facilitation in rural areas as well.
