Bhadrak, Dec 12: In shocking incident a 4-year-old girl has sustained critical burn injuries after a woman allegedly poured hot rice mush on her in Bhadrak district of Odisha on Saturday.
Niranjan Das’s wife Annapurna of Sompur village in Bhadrak was having a quarrel with their neighbor Basanti Das over a petty issue. Enraged with the discussion Basanti allegedly threw hot rice mush on Annapurna, who happens to be her sister-in-law. But unfortunately, Annapurna’s 4-year-old daughter came in between and saved her life, injuring herself.
She was quickly rushed to the District Hospital but was soon shifted to the SCB medical at Cuttack as her conditions deteriorated.
Police have registered a case against the duo and investigating on.
