Nilagiri, Dec 12: The Prince of former Nilagiri princely state, Janmejay Harichandan will tie the knot with the granddaughter of Kothi princely state king, Raja Bahadur Govind Pratap Singh on January 22.
The engagement ceremony was held in a traditional way on Dec 9 at the Nilgiri royal palace in the presence of the Kothi prince, Puri Gajapati, Dhenkanal princely state king, Kanika princely state king and other dignitaries. Having only one son, the Nilagiri king, Jayant Chandra Mardaraj Harichandan has decided to hold the marriage ceremony at Nilagiri.
Notably, the Nilgiri princely state became a part of Balasore district in 1949 and is currently known as Nilagiri.
