Pallahara, Dec 26: On Sunday, the body of a lady teacher, teaching in Bandabhuin Girls’ High School of Jamardiha village, was recovered from the Kakharua River. The name of the teacher was Muni Sae. Sae had reportedly gone missing on Dec 13 and since then she was nowhere to be found until post 12 days her corpse was recovered. The cops also seized an Activa scooter, clothes, vanity bag and a pair of lady’s shoes from the spot. Later the fire department personnel with the help of the local people found the body from the river. As per sources, On Dec 13, Sae had taken a half-day leave. In her written application to the headmaster she stated the cause of her taking leave was that she wanted to withdraw cash from the bank to pay Rs 6000 to her brother. On reaching home, finding no trace of Sae, her brother, parents and her in-laws looked for her but remained empty-handed.

In a same incident, a youth named Renta Murmu of Balarampur village was found dead in a pond in Balarampur village, Balasore. The cops recovered the body from the pond. As per information, on Sunday, around 4am Murmu had gone to Benga Jena’s house to drink liquor. Around 10am on the same day, his body was found from Jena’s pond.  The family members of the deceased alleged that someone had thrown his body into the pond after murdering him.
