Mumbai, Dec 31: As a New Year gift, the Reserve Bank of India has extended the withdrawal limit to Rs 4,500 from Rs 2,500. This new rule will be applicable from January 1, 2017, as per the notification issued by the RBI.
However, weekly withdrawals limit will remain same i.e. Rs 24,000.
It may be noted that, People can exchange their old Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes at banks till December 31, 2016.
