Forensic team begins probe into Puri station fire

Puri, Nov 13: A forensic team today began their probe into the fire in three trains on Puri railway station on Friday.

The high level probe will ascertain the cause of the fire that gutted over five boggies of three trains parked on the tracks of the station in the Holy town.

The General Railway Police which looks after property belonging to the Railway has detained two persons in this connection under suspicion.

Five bogies – two each of Nandankanan Express and Tirupati Express and one coach of Puri-Howrah Express – were damaged in the incident.

However, no casualties were reported.

Train services at Puri station were normalised late in the evening.
