Bhubaneswar, Jan 7: Today, the schedule for the upcoming five-phased Panchayat polls was announced by the State Election Commission.
In the first phase, on Feb 13, 189 Zilla Parishad zones of 65 blocks will participate in the poll while in the second phase polling will be conducted in 175 Zilla Parishad zones of 65 blocks on Feb 15.
On Feb 17, polling will be conducted at 175 Zilla Parishad zones of 65 blocks under the third phase whereas, under the fourth phase, 162 Zilla Parishad zones of 62 blocks will participate in the polls on Feb 19.
Polling in 151 Zilla Parishad zones of 59 blocks will be conducted under the fifth and the final phase.
Polling will be held on a single day in Zilla Parishad zones except Pattamundai block in Kendrapada and Kolanara block in Rayagada where there will be two-phase polling.
