High School lady teacher murder case: Two accused arrested and been forwarded to court

Pallahara, Jan 12: In connection with the murder of the Bandhabhoi Girls’ High School lady teacher Muni Soy, today the cops have arrested two persons and forwarded them to the court. The name of the two arrested are Jagannath Dhibar and Tapan Pendoi.

According to the sources, the arrested duo had murdered the teacher on account of past rivalry. The main accused Jagannath Dhibar’s sister was in a love relationship with late Soy’s nephew. But Dhibar’s family denied to accept their relationship and also had a war of words with Soy over the matter. On Dec 13, Soy who was a resident of Jamardiha went missing. She had left for Pallahara to withdraw money from bank but did not return that day. On Dec 25, her scooty, sandal, saree and vanity bag were sighted on the shores of Kakharua River here. On Dec 29, her body was recovered in a decomposed state near a stack of bricks on the banks of a river at Atanaka village here.
