Bhubaneswar, Jan 18: As per the automatic fare adjustment mechanism, the Odisha government on Wednesday hiked the fares for all categories of passenger buses, following to the hike in petrol and diesel prices.
While fares for ordinary and express buses have been increased by 1 paisa per kilometer, for deluxe and AC Deluxe buses the prices have been hiked by two paisa per kilometer, says a notification issued by the Commerce and Transport department.
With the hike ordinary buses will now charge 61 paisa per kilometer as against 60 paisa earlier, deluxe buses will charge 86 paisa against 84, and AC buses will charge Rs 1.07 instead of Rs 1.05.
