Paradip: Feb 06: Paradip Sakshyarata Samity organised a workshop on “Plastics Recycling and its Conversion into Value added Products” jointly with the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Bhubaneswar at the Officers’ Club of Paradip Port Trust from 30th to 31st January, 2017 for creating awareness among the Teachers, students, municipality, NGOs, etc. as a part of their CSR activity. Resource persons from CIPET namely, Mrs Mousam Choudhuri and Mr. K.K. Sahu presented a PowerPoint show on 1st day, explaining the methods of recycling plastics through mechanised conversion into pallets which can be further used with bitumen in road construction works. On the 2nd day of the workshop, representatives from Paradip Municipality, local NGOs, school teachers, members of Paradip Ladies Club and Mahila Samities participated and interacted with the CIPET resource persons, clarifying their doubts and concerns relating to the plastics recycling.
