Cuttack, Feb 16: Yesterday cash worth Rs 2,14,750 was seized by the police from the possession of IAS officer and Managing Director of Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC) Partha Sarathi Mishra. The amount was seized from the officer’s official vehicle. Later, simultaneous raids were conducted at the government quarters of Mishra in Bhubaneswar, his office in Cuttack and his residence at Ranihat in Cuttack. Mishra said to media that he would take a legal way to prove his innocence.

The Vigilance Cell, SP, Swarup Parida informed the media that the Vigilance officials had conducted secret verification on several allegations of corruption against Mishra since last six months and so it was yesterday that the officials had got confirmed information that Mishra is carrying money with him in his own government car numbered as OR-05-AU-4399. Thus the officials planned accordingly and seized the cash from the car. It has also been alleged that Mishra has taken huge amount of bribe from the contractors.
