Narayanpatna, Feb 20: In a tragic incident, a dead body of a ward member candidate of Kanagaon village of Koraput was found early today with his throat slit.

Identified as Kameswar Palaka, he was a poll candidate from ward no. 1 of kanagaon. But unfortunately, Palaka lost the elections just by 5 votes on earlier sunday.

Later on Sunday evening, he went out of the house at around 7PM but did not return until his body was found today morning.

As of reports, Palaka had no  such rivalry with anyone, says his brother.

The police have recovered the body and have started investigating into the incident.
