Cuttack: Feb 21: Alleging Police failure in curbing violence by BJD during Panchayat Polls, BJP workers gheraoed Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) here today. BJD Leader and former Minister Sameer Dey had led the ‘Gherao Abhijaan’ and hundreds of workers participated in the event. During this Gherao, a scuffle ensued between Policemen and BJP workers. Several BJP leaders and activists were later arrested by police. Sameer Dey said, ‘ BJP Party workers and leaders are being intentionally harassed as the party is doing well in the Panchayat Polls.’
