Cuttack, Feb 27: The water-borne disease, Jaundice is spreading in Tulasipur area here allegedly due to the contamination of piped drinking water. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Central Division) AB Ota. District Collector, senior officials of the Public Health Department (PHD) and the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner were present at the review meeting. It was decided in the meeting that that a total 50 squads will be formed to tackle the situation in which 25 teams will be in service at the affected areas, the rest will visit all wards to take stock of the situation. The RDC has also directed to complete inspection of all water pipelines by Mar 31. Health Minister Pradeep Amat said that secretary of the concerned department has been directed to take stock of the situation.
