RPF CB probes Eunuch pushed off train in Jajpur case

Bhubaneswar, Feb 28: The case in which a transgender was pushed off a moving train at Jajpur road recently, is being investigated by the Crime Branch team of Railway Police Force (RPF). The investigating team met the victim, Anu who is a resident of Habalganda village under Rajkanika block in Kendrapara. The team interrogated her about the circumstances which led to such unfortunate incident.

The incident took place on Jan 21. Anu was pushed out of a moving train by some RPF personnel when she was travelling from Bhubaneswar to Jajpur. She sustained grievous injuries and the Jajpur Eunuch Association lodged a complaint with railways. Along with that an amount of Rs 20 lakh was also demanded as compensation from the government for Anu and her family. They demanded justice for Anu and stringent punishment to the accused RPF personnel.
