Bhubaneswar, Mar 9: Rainfall has occurred at a few laces over Odisha. Chief amount of rainfall occurred in Berhampur (dist Ganjam), Gopalpur (dist Ganjam), Balasore (dist Balasore), Mahanga (dist Cuttack), R.udaigiri (dist Gajapati), K Nuagaon (dist Kandhamal), Nilgiri (dist Balasore), Bhograi (dist Balasore), Remuna (dist Balasore), Daringibadi (dist Kandhamal) and Astaranga (dist Puri).  Maximum temperatures observed markedly fall over North Odisha, appreciably fall over South Coastal Odisha and no large change over South Interior Odisha.  They were markedly below normal over North Odisha and appreciably below normal over South Odisha. Minimum temperatures observed no large change over Odisha. They were above normal over North Interior Odisha and normal over Coastal Odisha.

Having a partly cloudy sky with thunder showers of 02.2 mm to occur, Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours a maximum and minimum temperature of 28 degree Celsius and 22 degree Celsius respectively on Friday.

The relative humidity will be 93 percent at its maximum and 75 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT. On Friday, rainfall to occur is one or two places of North Coastal Odisha and over a few places of South Odisha along with thunder storms. The wind speed to be 50-60 Kmph over a few places. On Saturday, rains with thunderstorms to occur at a few places along with thunderstorms, hail storms, the wind speed is likely to reach 50-60 kmph. On SundayMonday and Tuesday, rains to occur in some places in Odisha. As per the weather forecasters, there is no significant change as of now.

For the farmers, light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places of North Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of South Odisha and thunderstorms along with rains in North Coastal Odisha with the wind speed to be 50-60 Kmph.

The highest maximum temperature of 35.40C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 12.00C was recorded at Sundergarh in the plains of Odisha.
