Bhubaneswar, Mar 17: Today in connection with the Lopamudra’s complaint of harassment to her, the son of industrialist Trailokya Mishra and Lopa’s husband, Sabyasachi Mishra, was arrested by the Mahila Police. He had been arrested from his residence situated at Kharvel Nagar and will be produced at the court today itself.

Lopamudra, the daughter-in-law of Trailokya, had registered an FIR at the Mahila police station here on June 2016 that she was harassed by her husband, Sabyasachi both mentally and physically. She had also lodged complaints against her in-laws as well to which the Orissa HC in July 2016 had granted interim protection to Sabyasachi and his family and all of them had been granted anticipatory bail on September 2016. She had also approached Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Lopa had even complained of getting death threats from her husband and in-laws. After the completion of the interim protection period, the cops succeeded in arresting Sabyasachi and thus his bail plea was also rejected by the HC.
