Nayagarh, Mar 18: In regards to supply timber to the Jagannath Temple for the making of chariots for the Rath Yatra, a six member team reviewed the Jagannath Bana Prakalpa (Jagannath forest project) in Nayagarh district. But the team after visiting and reviewing various forests projects across the district were worried as they didn’t find any Dhaura & Asana saplings in the forest.
Notably, the project was launched by the state government in the year 2000 in view of lack of wood required for the Chariot construction.
