Ministers in Odisha including Governor and CM condole the death of ex-RS member

Bhubaneswar, Mar 20: All renowned persons in Odisha conveyed their condolences over the death of former Rajya Sabha MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra. Odisha Governor SC Jamir, chief minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, and Jual Oram, BJD Lok Sabha Member Baijayant Panda were among them. Several ministers and BJD leaders including Minister of State for Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Sanjay Dasburma and general secretary of Biju Yuva Janata Dal Bijay Nayak also condoled his death.

Naveen paid his sympathy to the grieved family. He said that his death has created a vacuum in Odisha politics which cant be filled up. Mohapatra had influenced the contemporary Odisha politics and was an able administrator. Leader of the Opposition Narsingh Mishra, State BJP president Basant Panda and leader of the BJP Legislature Party KV Singhdeo also expressed grief on Mohapatra’s sad demise. Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Prasad Harichandan expressing homage said that Mohapatra was a part of Odisha politics for more than 10 years. He made his mark being an able politician and efficient administrator.
