Jajpur, Mar 27: In link with the newborn case, where the infant was buried alive in a dump at Jajpur, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in the district have filed a complaint against the unknown miscreants. The district police have registered case under sections 307 and 317 of the IPC and have already started the investigation to nab the culprit behind the cruel incident.
Notably, the infant was noticed of moving her legs above the ground, by the locals. Who suddenly dug the ground, rescued her wrapped in a cloth and later informed the police. The child was admitted to the nearest Community Health Centre in critical condition and later was taken to the DHH.
But forgetting all evil, the baby girl who is right now under treatment at the Jajpur DHH, has been given a name. The Jajpur collector Ranjan Kumar Das and Minister Pranab Prakash Das have named the girl as Dharitri (means earth), as he was rescued from the Earth. While the district administration have nicknamed her as Sita, as like the mytho character Sita, the girl was also rescued from mother Earth. The girl is presently under the supervision of the District Child Protection officer.
Her name giving ceremony will be held at the Lord Biraja Temple on 14th of April, said sources, while all responsibilities of the girl will be bear by the district admin, said the Jajpur Sub collector Narayan Chandra Dhala.
