Balasore, Mar 27: Yesterday a farmer belonging to Balipata village here is said to have supposedly committed suicide upon consumption of poison. His name is Ramachandra Bara. He allegedly had poison because of the failure to repay loan because of crop loss. He had taken a loan for his two-acre land and unable to repay it back caused him to take his life.
Before on Mar 15, another farmer named Sudam Khatua of Pakharbada village here commiitted suicide over crop loss upon consumption of pesticide. However, the District Administration claimed that the farmer did so over a family quarrel.
