Puri, Apr 8: Today expert officials of the company who supply the Geosynthetic bags along with the NHAI chief GM, Dhamananda Sarangi will be visiting the spot of the Samajajpur overbridge to review the condition of the same. After the verification process is completed, further decisions will be taken. The overbridge is said to be in a precarious condition after the Geosynthetic bags caught fire a few days back. Also, the approach road and the retaining wall are also in a dangerous condition. The overbridge twas hat built two years ago has been repaired four times in these two years. It has been built at at a cost of Rs 30 crore. The Puri-Bhubaneswar national highway that includes the Samjajpur overbridge was built on a public-private-partnership (PPP) mode at a cost of Rs 600 crore ahead of the Nabakalebar festival.
