Centre’s slash of state’s kerosene quota: BJD protests in Berhampur led by Dasburma

Berhampur, Apr 11: Today BJD staged demonstration here in protest of the slash of the state’s kerosene quota by the Centre. Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare minister Sanjay Dasburma led the rally showing placards against the decision. BJD will also be staging demonstration tomorrow ahead of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) office in Sambalpur. The BJD protested yesterday in the capital city by a bike rally and shouting slogans against PM Narendra Modi and his government. Demonstration were staged in front of Raj Bhawan and later a memorandum was submiited to Governor SC Jamir. Congress is also bracing up to protest the kerosene quota reduction across the State.

Notably it has been alleged by the ruling BJD that the Centre has slashed 36 per cent of the State’s kerosene quota this year and has allotted just 62,112 kilo Litre kerosene thus short of 36,336 kilo litres.
