Khurda, Apr 20: Day before yesterday Yesterday an individual died in a road accident because of the irresponsibility of a staff of Motor Vehicle Inspection on NH 16 close to the Prananatha College. The name of the victim was Jaladhar Sahu of Bhagabati Sahi. The incident occurred when one of the member of the MVI force blocked a truck and from the other side Tavera directed by Sahu rushed against the truck.
When the town police and the fire brigade arrived at the spot they tried to rescue Sahu from the car but due to his injuries, he passed away. The residents of the area said that these kind of mishaps take place very often at this place because of the staff`s negligence during MVI checking. The authorities did not give any comment regarding the situation.
