Nilagiri: Leading to the heart breaking incident of a man carrying the dead body of his six-year-old son in a trolly over unavailability of Mahaprayan vehicle, the state government has today directed the Balasore district Collector to probe into the incident and thus to submit a report soon.
The state health secretary-cum-commissioner Pramod Kumar Meherda has today asked the collector to find the reasons for the unavailability of the Mahaprayan vehicle that is meant to transport dead bodies free of cost from state run hospitals. Strict action will also be taken against those found guilty.
Notably, leading to a snake bite, a six-year-old boy, Krishna Singh was rushed to the Nilagiri hospital by his father Tunaram Singh early yesterday. Upon reaching, the doctors declared him dead. Requesting for a vehicle for transporting his son’s body back home, the hospital authorities refused the father for it, saying no vehicle is available currently. Leading to this Tunaram had to carry his son’s body back home in a trolly.
