Bhubaneswar, June 6: To check the fitness of the newly constructed track between Bolagarh Road and Nayagarh of the Khurda Road-Bolangir railway line project, a speed trial of a train will be conducted today.
A trail run of an engine along with a goods train has already been done on the 12-kilometre route on May 11.
Railway official along with Sundarshan Nayak, the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety will also be present during the run. Nayak ill also check the tracks and signal systems before the test, said sources. The trial is conducted to found out the permissible speed limit of a passenger train on the track.
