Bhubaneswar: July 02: Mud-slinging started between BJD and State BJP Unit just before the Asian Athletics Championship. Odisha BJP today targeted BJD over use of CM Naveen Patnaik’s photo in the advertisement of the athletics meet to be held at Kalinga Stadium here. BJP General Secretary Prithiviraj Harichandan alleged that, State government is using the event for political campaign as they have printed the image of Patnaik on the advertisement. BJP leader and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram also alleged in the same way and criticized the Odisha Government. Sports Minister Chandra Sarathi Behera refuted such allegation and said, ‘It’s a reflection of narrow-mentality’. He further added, ‘it’s a question of Odisha’s pride. So I request all to join hands together for this event.”
