Kolkata: July 27: Shri Harindra Rao, General Manager, Eastern Railway inspected different stations in Barharwa – Sahibganj – Jamalpur section of Eastern Railway’s Malda Division along with all principal officers, DRM/Malda & senior officers of the Division today. General Manager inspected Barharwa station wherein he visited Parcel Office, Station Manager’s Room, various passenger amenities work and interacted with the staff regarding observance of safety rules. At Sahibganj, Shri Rao inspected the station circulating area, ticket counters, parcel office and various passenger amenities available at the station & stressed upon the cleanliness at the station premises and directed to work hard towards Clean Railways (Swachh Rail).
Later, at Bhagalpur, Sultanganj and Jamalpur, he inspected the condition of various passenger amenities, waiting room, retiring room, drinking water provision, catering unit, Station Manager’s room etc. He stressed upon providing still better passenger amenities & cleaner environment in the interest of the passengers. Shri Rao also interacted with the local representatives, passengers, Railway staff and press & media at Barharwa, Sahibganj and Bhagalpur.
