Bhubaneswar: July 29: Taking the Swachh Bharat Pakhwada to next level, Indian Oil, Odisha State Office organized a Walkathon in the morning 08:00 hours, 29th July 2017 to generate mass awareness on cleanliness. Flagged off by Eminent Sportsperson of Indian Oil; Miss Padmini Rout, International Master (Chess) along with active participation of over 500 school children in the Walkathon with full zeal and zest, carrying placards and banners thereby spreading awareness about Swachhta at IndianOil Bhavan, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar(Odisha), was highly appreciated by one and all. The school children were quite enthusiastic in participating the Walkathon.

To further emphasize the efforts required for achieving the objectives of Swachh Bharat, Miss Padmini Rout interacted with the children about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and on their understanding of Swachhata in day to day life. Miss Rout shared her experiences about various visit to other countries for taking part in the tournaments and the level of Swachhata in those countries. She also told the students to be responsible for the society and do their bit towards achieving the objectives of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Cleanliness Drive thru Walkathon by school children was aimed at rekindling mass awareness to ensure everlasting behavioural change to achieve the goal of “Swachh Bharat Mission” an initiative by Government of India to promote cleanliness.Sri Debi Prasad Satapathy, GM (CSR),Odisha State Office; Sri Bikash Mohanty ,DGM (HR),OSO; Sri MK Sinha DGM (TS),OSO; Sri Nihar Das Sr.Mgr(LPG),OSO; Sri Arvind Pandey Sr. Mgr(IS),OSO and other officials are participated in the Walkathon.
