Normal life affected due to Odisha Bandh

Bhubaneswar: January 24: Odisha Bandh called by Congress and BJP on the issue of suicide of Kunduli rape victim, has affected normal life in most parts of Odisha. In the State Capital Bhubaneswar, shops and other establishments are seen closed and vehicles are not seen plying on the road.

Train communication has also been affected. Bangalore-Tinsukia Superfast Express, Sambalpur-Puri and Sambalpur-Rayagada Intercity Express trains have been stopped at the Bhubaneswar railway station. Passengers are seen stranded in Bus Stands and Railway Stations.

Bandh supporters are seen picketing at places like Master Canteen square and major junctions of the capital city.

Police has arrested some BJP leaders while BJP was doing picketing in front of state secretariat.

Political Parties claim that, state government and the administration vehemently tried to suppress the case owing to which the girl committed suicide.
