Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: The 61st national conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) began at the SOA University premises here.
Eminent economist Bibek Debroy inaugurated the conference.
Inaugurating the convention, Bibek Debroy said, “Development of the country not only depends on the Government but also on the youth power, which accounts for a major part of the country’s development.”
Writer Amish Tripathi said, “The youth should not run after modernity instead should focus on their family, culture and country.” Around 2,000 students and teachers from 500 universities across the country have participated in the national meet.
Among others, ABVP national president Prof Nagesh Thakur, national general secretary Shrihari Borikar and national organising secretary Sunil Ambekar were present.
