Bhubaneswar: July 02: 229 persons in Odisha have tested positive in last 24 hours. Ganjam District has reported 95 new cases, followed by Balasore (24), Jajpur (22), Khurda (21), Sundargarh (17), Cuttack (12), Jharsuguda (10), Bolangir (7), Nayagarh (5), Puri (4), Boudh (3) and Mayurbhnaj (2).
Angul, Bargarh, Deogarh, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar and Koraput districts have reported one case each.
Out of 229 new COVID-19 cases, 193 persons were in quarantine and rest 36 are local contact cases, as per the information given by I & PR department.
With this, total cases detected so far in Odisha rose to 7545.
