Odisha reports 170 Covid-19 New Cases; No cases in10 Districts

Bhubaneswar: July 05: Odisha has reported 469 new COVID-19 cases. Out of 469 cases detected, 116 are from Ganjam, 94 from Cuttack, 66 from Sundergarh, 27 from Khurda, 25 each from Jajpur & Keonjhar, 24 from Nayagarh, 16 from Bhadrak, 13 from Sambalpur, 12 from Gajapati, 11 from Angul, 8 each from Balasore & Puri, 6 from Mayurbhanj, 5 from Kendrapara, 3 from Bolangir, 2 each from Kalahandi & Nabarangpur and one each from Malkangiri & Kandhamal.

4 NDRF personnel have also tested positive.

Out of 469 cases, 317 were in Quarantine and 152 are local contact cases.

Total cases in Odisha jumped to 9070.

Also, as per the information provided by Health & Family Welfare Department, two more casualties took the State’s death toll to 36.

As reported, a  40-year-old male from Gajapati district and a 64-year-old male from Sundergarh district succumbed to the disease. The 64-year male was also suffering from diabetes.
