Bhubaneswar: August 26: Odisha registered highest single day spike of 3,371 fresh Corona Positive cases. First time , it has reported more than 3,000 cases in a single day. As per H & FW Department, out of 3,371 cases, 2053 cases were in quarantine and 1,318 cases are local contact cases.
Khurda district continued to report highest cases. It has recorded 547 cases in last 24 hours, followed by Cuttack (357 cases), Ganjam (196 cases), Jajpur (173 cases), Nayagarh (171 cases), Sundergarh (154 cases), Rayagada (146 cases), Puri (144 cases), Malkangiri (134 cases), Bhadrak (114 cases), Sambalpur (107 cases), Balasore & Bargarh (98 cases each), Jagatsinghpur (95 cases), Jharsuguda (93 cases), Mayurbhanj (92 cases), Koraput (91 cases), Bolangir & Kendrapara (76 cases each), Keonjhar (74 cases), Dhenkanal (67 cases), Nabarangpur (65 cases), Angul (63 cases), Gajapati & Kandhamal (41 cases each), Kalahandi (28 cases), Nuapada (15 cases), Deogarh (8 cases), Boudh (4 cases) and Sonepur (3 cases).
With this, total cases in the State increased to 87,602. At present, 27,638 cases are active.
