Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the Chauri Chaura centenary celebrations at Chauri Chaura, Gorakhpur, U.P on Thursday via video conferencing. Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh will also present on the occasion.
The day will mark 100 years of the incident, a landmark event in the country’s fight for independence. A postal stamp dedicated to the Chauri Chaura centenary will be released in the event.
The centenary celebrations and various events planned by the State government will begin in all 75 districts of the State from 4th February 2021 and will continue till 4th February 2022.
