Tata Power received LOI for power distribution in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Feb 02: Tata power, India’s largest integrated power utility, today, announced that it has received the LOI from Odisha Electricity Regularity Commission (OERC) for distribution and retail supply of electricity in Odisha’s five circle of North Eastern Supply Company of Odisha (NESCO) limited constituting areas of Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur and Keonjhar.

With this takeover, the company’s distribution circles will expand to the NESCO with geographical spread of more than 27,500 sq km and will be serving over 1.9 million consumer with annual input energy of 5450MUs. The will manage a network of more than 90,000 CKT KMs. for the license period of 25 years.

As per, the Bid Documentation Tata Power will hold 51% of the equity and with management control with 49% by Government of Odisha.
