Odisha Congress set for major rejig in coming days

Bhubaneswar: Today, The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) called for ‘Odisha Bandh’ on February 15 (Monday) to protest against the rising price of petrol and diesel. The shutdown will be observed from 7 AM to 1 PM. While vehicles will stay off roads, shops and others business establishments will remain shut during the period. Said by OPCC’s president, Niranjan Patnaik.

Patnaik alleging both the BJP-led government at the Centre and ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha for not taking any action said, “We know the decision will create inconvenience to the people.But, we are left with no other choice other than to call for State-wide shutdown, to create public awareness about various genuine problems, including hike in price of petrol, diesel and LPG with other essential commodities,”.

Patnaik sought support and cooperation from all the people of the state to make to bandh a success for their own interest.
